Multicultural Night

 

This picture was taken during a family night at Anderson Elementary School.  The subject of this particular family night was "The Countries of the World."  The classroom in which I was volunteering was presenting the country of Japan to the rest of the school.  There were three other classrooms also working on Japan.  Students made decorations and studied about Japan.  During the family night, the teachers each ran activities for the students.  I facilitated a kanji (Japanese script) writing session using ink, paper, and brushes.
