Thanksgiving Studies

 

During my student teaching, I taught a unit on the First Thanksgiving.  Throughout this unit, we talked about how the Pilgrims came to America and how the Native Americans helped them to survive their first year.  One of the main focuses of our lessons was how the Native American culture differed from our own.  We concluded the unit by making Native American head dresses.  These head dresses had patterns on their head bands.
