Social Studies Photographs

The Grand Blanc School District began a new social studies curriculum in the 2000-2001 school year.  This curriculum allows students to learn basic social studies concepts.  In this photograph, I am discussing map skills with my first graders.  They were comparing a real life photograph with a map of the same area, noting similarities and differences.  Following this lesson, students drew their own maps of their neighborhoods.
