During my student teaching, my students went
to the computer lab once a week for one hour. During this time, we wrote
stories, designed pictures, and learned about the Internet. In this
picture, my students were visiting a site called "Primary
Games." Here, they played various educational games while
learning to navigate the Internet by themselves. The students worked in
teams of two and three to successfully complete these games.

This picture was taken during a computer
lesson. Before the students are allowed to use the computers, I am showing
them how to access the Internet and how to find a specific web site.
During this lesson, students played math, social studies, science, and language
arts games. With partners, they learned how to navigate a web site on
their own. As they explored, they became more confident on the Internet.
